A solo created + performed by Meagan O’Shea with original music by Ra Tack
My love fell ill and fell deep. They were in danger of floating away, of dying.
An incantation, an exploration of time, a radical suspension of disbelief, long-distance healing, a collective migration. The precarity of life, pondering courage in the face of all that scares us. A quest to bring beauty into focus. The reciprocal exchange of space we take up in the universe.
Meagan O'Shea (she|they) is a queer, contemporary dance+ artist from the land called Canada, based in Berlin. Working across forms and borders, creating "off the wall, impossible to catageorize, fun" (Montreal Gazette) performance experiences, O'Shea uses a mash-up of dance, theatre, storytelling, stand-up comedy, clown, DIY spectacle and improvisation to examine ideas from unexpected angles. Treating process like a science experiment, using body and interaction with the audience as test site, Meagan jumps between forms seeking to unite disparate ideas.
